So, Itlay has been really shaping up! I mean from the moment I first arrived I had to overcome many adversities and obstacles. The first being my mobility, finding places to eat, do my hair (cut ... I m not a prima donna) and places to drink... with friends. Day by day I find new places, with colleagues and friends. Many great places to wind down from a hard day. I will admit that making friends is NOT easy. My friends from Padova told me that the locals (Padovani) are not the nicest of people and tend to be very cold. However, I have yet to meet someone who matches this discription. Everyone has been so helpful to me, and I can't thank them enough!Work has been going well, same old same old, but who wants to hear about work when I can be dicussing food and my social life! I went to my first disco tech for a friends birthday. This is not my first time in a club, I went to one in Lancaster which was schiffo and disgusting! This club was the cleanest and had the bougiest people. After all, Padova is a rich city. Everything is VERY VERY expensive.
My week with the rents was rewarding. My sister and father left already, and I have my mother here until Sunday. We ate every meal together and went to Asolo were I bought my first white truffle for 36 euro! Yes! I already ate it! And no! There is none left! :D
Last night, my colleagues, my mother and I went out for aperitivi and pizza after work! We all had a wonderful time! Great people! Whenever we go out I find new places to eat and drink.. so if you ever visit... I know where to go!
This coming week is a vacation the 8th of December, but many people take lunedì off as well! I am going to Trieste for an over night! Its VERY windy and cold and small, but it is molta carina and I am very excited! I will be sure to take lots of pics and write in my blog.
This is a fun time in Padova... CHRISTMAS TIME! Its very cozy and there is a warm feelling! Everything is decorated and so beautiful!
